While everyone else focuses on network coverage like 5G, OPPO went the other way with a technology called Mesh Talk: with or without a signal, you can still send messages, voice and calls between devices in real time within a 3 km range.
Mesh Talk is end-to-end communication over a mesh network, which gives users more privacy because the data never travels through a carrier network.
OPPO also developed a communications chipset that lowers power draw and extends range, with standby power lasting up to 72 hours.
Whatever happens, you can still call for help — while cutting monthly costs and reliance on the phone network.
